For our division Industry –  Buildings we are looking Senior Structural Engineer to assist the

Belgian Team in the preparation of the projects.

1                    Job Description and responsibilities

 Design and calculations (SCIA Engineer or equivalent). Structural analysis of the follow- ing but not limited to:

Steelstructures (open and closed)

 Multi storey sway- and non sway structures.

 To design piperacks and supporting structures of equipment.

 Fire resistant structures (determine critical steel temperature).

 Structural analysis of steel connections.

 To design connections between steel and other materials such as concrete /

prefabricated concrete.

Concrete structures (open and closed)

 Foundation: beams, pilecaps, slabs etc..

 Floorslabs, on sand or piles.

 Liquid tight floors / tankpits / structures.

 Superstructures poured on site.

 Prefab systems for buildings / structures.

 Fire resistant concrete structures.

Realistic estimate of foundations and masonry structures.

To assess constructability of structures, also with regard to other disciplines.

To design earthquake resistant structures (experience is a plus)

 Communication with the Belgium Industrial Team on a daily basis, via a 3D environ-

ment such as Tekla, Revit or BIMCOLLAB.

 Coordination and managing the Boydens Vietnam Industrial Civil team

 Coordination of the design and interface with other disciplines, via a 3D environment such as Tekla, Revit or BIMCOLLAB.

 Responsible for quality control of the design of the following but not limited to:

Foundations: poles, foundations on steel, general floorboard,…

Constructions of concrete: (beams, columns, walls, floors, etc.). Recessess for tank

farms, quay walls

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Steel constructions: open structures for industry, closed buildings, halls, piping bridg- es, hoist installations (runways, monorails)

 Project planning

 Manage and/or archive files/documents according to internal procedures

 Take part in recruitment process of Civil engineering team members

2                    We are looking for:

 Dynamic and motivated Civil Engineer with a least 5 years of proven experience work- ing in a similar position and workscope.

 Ability to work independtly and/or in team on multiple projects simultaneously

 Excellent knowledge of 3D designsoftware REVIT, Tekla and other Civil/ Industrial De-

sign related softwares

 Construction site experience is a plus

 In-depth knowledge of international codes for related field, especially Eurocodes EC2

and EC3

 Practical experience (min 5 projects) in designing in one of the following industry:

Ferro-Non Ferro

(Petro) Chemical

Pharma

Power Systems

Nuclear

Water management

 Knowledge of / experience with specific architectural design (foundations / steel /

concrete) and design codes.

 Knowledge of / experience with other industrial disciplines such as Piping and Me- chanical Equipment.

 Eye for details

 Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.

 Taking the lead and responsibility for the quality control of the deliverables.

 Excellent knowledge of AutoCad and MS Office.

 Fluent English speaking and writing.

 Willing to travel to Belgium for training or projects.
